Dare to Dazzle...

Each and every bride is so different - and lucky for me because I love it. I get bored pretty easily, so having the task of appealing to different tastes really keeps me challenged.
I do have to say, I am in the process of completing my favorite suite to date. It's for a couple who contacted me after she had searched for "the perfect wedding invite" - she ended up being a referral from a friend. When my friend showed her my work this bride said, "This is it!" - Originally the bride chose another design, but as we talked about options, this became the final suite.
This suite is a vintage lace tied with sleek black pocketfold mounted on a silver accent. The bride and I share an equal love for things that sparkle. This suite is printed on shimmer stock with a black ink and holds sparkle accents to create a dimensional effect. I am only partially finished with this suite, as I complete the look, they will be finished with a belly band and front closure double layer mount. I will certainly update pictures when I am finished.

Back and Bubbly...

It has been way too long since I have updated the Blog - my family took a much needed vacation. We went to Disney World the first week in May- although, I often think that when you go to Disney you come back even more tired than you did when you left (particularly accompanying two darling daughters ages 5 and 4).
Since we returned I have been working non-stop - a bit of catch up and then taking in some great new orders. Spring means Bridal Season. I am in the midst of about 5 weddings right now, and I love how unique each wedding I am working on is.
Meet "Bubbly" (pictured above). This particular wedding suite is one of my favorites to date - it's definitely making a statement. This bride wanted to convey "celebration" - and a feeling of champagne bubbles. I LOVE using a nontraditional color within a flat invitation. Grey/Yellow is one of my favorite schemes to work with. Within this particular wedding, I accented with yellow and coordinated response envelopes to match. This suite can be created in any color combination for those that may be interested in this design. "Bubbly" can also be a canvas to a variety of other event invitations - graduation, anniversary, a milestone birthday celebration, a work celebration - you name it.
It's great to be back, doing what I love --- and that is why I am off now - to finish proofing up a few other jobs this evening.
